Kevin Yu

MA Student (ABA)

Kevin completed his Honours Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, Neuroscience and Behaviour at McMaster University and a Master of Education in Developmental Psychology at the University of Toronto. Currently, he is completing his Master of Arts in Applied Disability Studies specializing in Applied Behaviour Analysis at Brock University.

Stemming from his experience working with children with autism and his current education in disability studies, Kevin's research interests revolve around examining the effects of strengths-based and positive psychology approaches in creating positive changes in the lives of individuals with disabilities and their families. His thesis focuses on the examination of parent-reported strengths of youth with autism and the effects of a strengths-based intervention on parent-child relationships and self-perceived parenting efficacy.
